About the Teachers

Hi, my name is Lori Coleman and I am the owner/teacher director of the Wiggles & Giggles Learning Center. My family and I recently moved to Rexburg from Northern California and are excited to be here and become a part of this wonderful community. I have been involved in teaching and nurturing children for 16 years. For the past 5 years I have been a Head Start teacher at a NAEYC Accredited School through Northern California Child Development Inc. I received my education from Shasta College in Redding with the focus of my educational pursuits being in Early Childhood Education. I earned my CDTP from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and soon after opened, under the direction of Northern California Child Development Inc. a new center blending Head Start and state funded programs working programs working primarily with low-income and at risk children and families. I would like to take what I have learned from the wonderful program I have been involved with and share it with my new community. I want the children and families this area to walk through our doors and feel safe, important and know they belong. Wiggles and Giggles will focus on kindergarten readiness and social/emotional competency. Our goal is to have every child fully prepared to succeed when they graduate from our program and move on to elementary school.

Hi, My name is Melissa Coleman and I am the assistant director/teacher of the Wiggles and Giggles Learning Center. I have lived in Rexburg for the past 12 years with my husband. During this time my husband and I have both graduated from BYU-Idaho and have been blessed with 4 beautiful children; 3 boys and 1 girl. I graduated with a BS degree in Child Development from BYU-Idaho. I have had the opportunity to teach and nurture children for the past 10 years. Over the years I have run small preschools out of my home and am excited for the opportunity I have to work at this center. Teaching children and watching them learn and grow is something that I love. I am excited to get to know your child and have the opportunity to teach them!
